My biggest inspiration has been my own journey to motherhood. I've had two wildly different postpartum experiences—one involving a pulmonary embolism—and as a working mom, I’ve felt the chaos and forgetfulness. But through it all, I’ve learned the importance of slowing down and documenting the milestones. The passion has always been about remembering the moments of my own kids, and I feel so lucky to extend that gift to others.

Growing a tiny human within your body is nothing short of miraculous, and that incredible journey deserves to be celebrated and documented. I’ve been there—I didn’t have maternity photos taken during one of my pregnancy's, and it’s something I regret often. You deserve to remember the awe and wonder of carrying your little one in an authentic unposed way.

as soon as she walked into the hospital room and we met in person it was like I’d know her forever!  I was amazed at what she was able to capture,

I know you've heard the old phrase, "Don't blink—it goes by so fast," and it’s true. I’ve experienced the thief of time twice, watching my daughters grow and change in the blink of an eye. Those first days with your newborn are filled with tiny details and fleeting moments that deserve to be captured and cherished. Let’s preserve the wonder of these early days, so you can hold onto them forever.

Why Birth Photography?

My biggest inspiration has been my own journey to motherhood. I've had two wildly different postpartum experiences and as a working mom, I’ve felt the chaos and forgetfulness. But through it all, I’ve learned the importance of slowing down and documenting the milestones. I really wanted a birth photographer for my second daughter but hospitals were not allowing it at the time (we all know what happened in 2020!!) so unfortunately I was left with a few cruddy iPhone photos my husband snapped while bawling his face off.

Frequently Asked Questions

01. How soon after birth should we schedule newborn photos?

Whenever works for you. The sooner the better but within two weeks is ideal.

02. Should I book in home newborn or fresh 48?

It depends on what you want to capture. A Fresh 48 session takes place within the first 48 hours after birth, focusing on the raw, emotional moments right after your baby arrives. An in-home newborn session captures the cozy, intimate moments of settling into life at home.

03. When is the best time to schedule maternity photos?

The ideal time for maternity photos is between 28-34 weeks of pregnancy. However, I am not a rule follower so whatever week works for you!

04. Do you offer packages that include maternity, birth, and newborn sessions?

Yes, I offer a Bump to Baby package that covers your entire journey—from maternity to birth to newborn photos. It’s a wonderful way to ensure that all these precious stages are beautifully documented. Contact me for pricing on this option.

05. What should we do to prepare for a Fresh 48 session?

For a Fresh 48 session, make sure to keep me updated on your expected delivery date. I’ll need to be contacted as soon as possible after birth to arrange a time for the session. Remember to have any items you'd like included, such as baby’s first outfits or special keepsakes, ready and on hand. If you don't feel up to being in any photos yourself thats totally fine and we can focus on baby :)

06. What is the role of a doula?

A doula provides continuous emotional, physical, and informational support before, during, and after labor. We help you navigate your birth plan, offer comfort measures, and ensure you have the support you need to make informed decisions, creating a positive and empowering birth experience. Research shows that having a doula can lead to shorter labors, reduced need for pain medication, and lower rates of cesarean deliveries.

07. Are you allowed in the room for a hospital delivery?

Yes, as your birth photographer, I am considered one of the two allowed support people in the hospital.

08. Do the medical staff allow you to take photos?

Yes, I have photographed numerous births at Saint John and Fredericton hospitals and have had no issues with taking photos. It is your body and your birth - I always take care to avoid all medical staff in my photos.
