a glimpse into my life
I’m a photographer, doula, mom of two, and dreamer living in Grand Bay, New Brunswick. I love gardening, baking, and never pass up a good yard sale. I believe inviting someone to photograph your life is such an honor and an intimate experience—one that should be cherished for years to come. My work is dedicated to the humans who are doing their best—the dreamers, the cottage lovers, those who value connection. It's for the intuitive mothers, the empathetic souls, and anyone who’s always down for an adventure.
People are at the center of everything I do, and I hope the time we spend together is both profound and meaningful. I’m here to help you see and cherish your beauty, whether through a candid photo or supportive doula service. I don’t shy away from life’s challenges and approach every moment with empathy and a people-first mindset. My goal is to ensure that through my work, you feel understood, supported, and celebrated.
When you book a session with me, you’re not just getting a photographer; you’re getting a friend and confidant. Need outfit inspiration or a coffee on the way to our session? I’ve got you. My approach isn’t one-size-fits-all because people aren’t. It’s the connections that make this work so worthwhile
Hummingbirds have always brought a sense of joy and nostalgia into my life. At my grandmother’s home on South Oromocto Lake, these tiny, vibrant creatures were a constant presence, flitting around like little jewels.
My mom often gifted her hummingbird items, like wind chimes, that filled the air with their sweet, gentle sounds. To me, hummingbirds symbolize not just joy and resilience, but also the warmth of family and the simple, carefree happiness of being a kid. The hummingbird represents optimism and a playful outlook on life—reminding us to enjoy life’s simple pleasures and embrace the lightness in our emotional lives. When I see a hummingbird, it’s a sign to open up and savor the joys around me. Including the hummingbird in my logo not only honors these cherished memories but also reflects the values I hold dear—finding beauty in the little things and living life with a joyful heart.
I’ve shot a weekend wedding at a lodge on the Miramichi River and would love to do it again. Canoeing, midnight taco bars, hot tubbing, and a full on rave with paper lanterns. Yes please.
drm wedding gig:
50 Cent, Bluesfest Ottawa 2018. My husband Greg and I sat out over eight hours to get front row ahead of 50,000+ people. Before kids of course. Worth every second!
Best Concert:
Blasting music in my car with my husband and two girls and we are all singing at the top of our lungs. "Call me Maybe" and "Party in the USA" seem to be popular requests from the backseat these days. Those moments bring me such immense joy.
Happiest When:
I lost my stillborn sister Alicia at 12 years old, and the only things I have left are photographs and a knitted blanket—a stark reminder of her absence. This deeply personal experience has profoundly shaped my approach to bereavement photography. I understand the importance of capturing and cherishing the moments of those we’ve lost. Through my volunteer work with the “Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep” organization, I provide compassionate and sensitive support to families experiencing loss. My goal is to create beautiful, meaningful images that offer comfort and preserve the memories of loved ones, honouring their presence in our lives.
